D-Codes was founded in 2018 by Frédérique Agnès, with the support of the Hopps group, leader of logistics in France. In the space of 3 years, D-Codes has become the most powerful post-GDPR consumer database in France.
It contains nearly 41 million adult individuals and is enriched with behavioural data for very detailed analyses of consumption patterns.
D-Codes has developed a multitude of data-centric services (digital programmes, strategic consulting, etc.) to address the needs of a constantly evolving digital world, marked in particular by the end of third-party cookies.

Context of the deal
Company “Lucy in the Sky with Data”, renamed D-Codes, took flight further to completing its spin-off from the Hopps group. Axio Capital helped the management team to become independent by completing a funding round of over €3m.
This funding round enables the group to structure itself so as to no longer be dependent on its historical shareholder “the Hopps group” and Milee Media.
The investment argument relies on the group’s capacity to generate strong sales momentum thanks to its substantial database (GDPR-certified) of roughly 41 million unique users and over 300 consumption variables.
